Schemes for a US Air Force flying saucer were declassified. The schemes are dated back to the 1950's were part of 'Project 1794', intended to create a saucer capable of flying up to an altitude of 100,000 feet.
According to
Buissnessinsider.com, the craft was commissioned by the Air Force by a Canadian company with a huge budget, but the project was eventually abandoned in 1960.
